Our philosophy is to say no to antibiotics, pesticides, herbicides, and grow lights. We say yes to free-range, probiotics, and natural greens/whole grains. Everyone eats a high quality, well-balanced, all natural diet without animal proteins or fats. Each animal is given space to play, scratch splash, and run. A great deal of merry mayhem takes place in the barnyard on a daily basis!
We practice the full life lifecycle of sustainability on the farm: the sheep keep the grass trimmed and provide lambs, milk, wool, and meat. The poultry breeding flock provides eggs for hatching new livestock and meat; the poultry provide excellent manure for the garden; the chickens and pigs love to turn the soil, the geese snack on weeds in the vegetable garden, and the ducks happily de-slug the vegetable plants, and the vegetable plants provide me with new seeds for future harvests.
